ABSTRAK
Salah satu permasalahan ketidaklancaran ASI di hari-hari pertama setelah melahirkan karena kurangnya rangsangan hormon prolaktin dan oksitosin yang menyebabkan kegagalan dalam pemberian ASI Eksklusif. Menurut WHO (2022) sekitar 44% bayi yang mendapatkan ASI Eksklusif. Menurut data (Kemenkes) 2022 cakupan ASI eksklusif di Indonesia 61,5% dan di Sumatera Barat 69,7%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh woolwich massage terhadap kelancaran ASI pada ibu nifas di PMB Umil Fahmi, A.Md.Keb Kota Padang tahun 2024.
Metode penelitian yang digunakan bersifat kuantitatif dengan desain Pra Eksperimen. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dari tanggal 5 Juni – 3 Agustus di PMB Umil Fahmi, A.Md.Keb. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh ibu nifas dengan taksiran persalinan dari bulan Juni-Agustus berjumlah 97 orang. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 30 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah SOP Woolwich Massage dan lembar kuesioner untuk pengukuran kelancaran ASI. Data dianalisis dengan uji statistik Wilcoxon.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 30 ibu nifas sebelum dilakukan Woolwich Massage mayoritas pengeluaran ASI dengan kategori ASI Kurang (96,7%) dan setelah dilakukan Woolwich Massage mayoritas pengeluaran ASI dengan kategori ASI Cukup (93,3%). Secara uji Wilcoxon didapatkan nilai p value = 0,000 (p < 0,05) yang berarti ada pengaruh Woolwich Massage terhadap Kelancaran ASI pada ibu nifas.
Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh Woolwich Massage terhadap kelancaran ASI pada ibu nifas di PMB Umil Fahmi, A.Md.Keb Kota Padang. Diharapkan kepada petugas kesehatan mengaplikasikan tindakan Woolwich Massage ini untuk mengatasi ketidaklancaran ASI.

The Effect of Woolwich Massage on the Smoothness of Breastfeeding for Postpartum Mothers at PMB Ummil Fahmi, A.Md.Keb Padang City in 2024

ABSTRACT
One of the problems with breastfeeding failure in the first days after giving birth is failure in providing exclusive breasfeeding. This is due to a lack of stimulation of the hormones prolactin and oxytocin. According to WHO (2022), around 44% of babies receive exclusive breast milk. According to data (Ministry of Health) for 2022, exclusive breasfeeding coverage in Indonesia is 61.5% and in West Sumatra 69.7%. this research aims to determine the effect of Woolwich Massage on the smooth flow of breastfeeding in postpartum mothers at PMB Umil Fahmi, A.Md.Keb, Padang City in 2024.
The research method used is quantitative with a Pre-Experimental design. This research was carried out from June 5 – August 3 at PMB Umil Fahmi, A.Md.Keb. The study population was all postpartum mothers with an estimated birth from June to August totaling 97 people. The total sample was 30 people. The instruments used in this research were the Woolwich Massage SOP and a questionnaire sheet for measuring the smoothness of breast milk. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon statistical test.
The results of the study showed that out of 30 postpartum mothers before Woolwich Massage, the majority of breast milk production was in the category of insufficient breast milk (96.7%) and after Woolwich Massage, the majority of breast milk production was in the category of sufficient breast milk (93.3%). The Wilcoxon test obtained a p value = 0.000 (p <0.05) which means that there is an effect of Woolwich Massage on the smoothness of breast milk in postpartum mothers.
It can be concluded that there is an influence of Woolwich Massage on the smooth provision of breast milk to postpartum mothers at PMB Umil Fahmi, A.Md. Keb, Padang City. It is hoped that health workers will implement Woolwich Massage measures to overcome breast milk irregularities.
